Sorting Inventory by an Aircraft Code

Post by TechTeam »

CAFAM has the option to sort your Inventory by a generic type. You assign a two-digit code to the Part Number which can then be sorted on for Report listings. Some typical examples of codes:

CS=Cessna

BM=Bombardier

PI=Piper

AV=Avionics

EG=Engine

etc etc

These codes are defined by you and set-up in UTILITIES > CONTROL FILES. Then when you create a Part Number, the two digit code is prompted, set and reported on. Typically useful for determining valuation of Stock on a particular type of stock. e.g. for an accounting question of "How much Avionic stock are we holding ?", you would report on code="AV"
