Creating Quotes as a Job Number

CAFAM can create a Quotation on a Job Number. The basis for doing this is the same as you would for opening a Job Number, however, the difference is that the Status needs to be set as "JOB QUOTED". The mechanics of entry are exactly the same as for a real Job Number, i.e. you enter the Task details, estimate the Man-hours (or Fixed Cost), Parts etc. When you print the Acknowledgment, the document printed says "Work Order Quotation" (instead of the word "Acknowledgement"). Additonally, whilst the Status is "JOB QUOTED", the program will not permit Man-hours or Parts to be entered. It is blocked.



Then when the Job is ready to be opened, all you need do is change the Status to "JOB OPEN" using the [STATUS] button. The quotation will now transfer to a "live" Job Number
