Stock Allocation Process

CAFAM has options in how Stock is allocated and reserved. At its simplest, you could create a Bin Location for the Aircraft Registration and effectively "reserve" the Stock in this Bin by locating it there. However, if a Parts Inquiry is made, the item will still show as a Qty in stock. Why ? Because assigning the part in this Bin does not actually draw it from stock and issue it. You could on the other hand "Allocate the Stock" to the Aircraft. Now the process goes through a real parts issue i.e. it is no longer seen as a Qty in Stock in any Parts Inquiry. However the part in neither in stock nor shown as issued to the Job number. It is deemed as transient and only "allocated" to the Aircraft Registration.
