After completing a Purchase Order, a prompt comes up to print up to 4 Messages. These messages are pre-programmed lines of text that print depending on the Message Number selected.
Q : How do I add a new message to my PO's ?
A :You may find it necessary to add additional messages to your purchase orders that will print out on the purchase order form. These messages are assigned when creating your Purchase Order, so that at when you print the PO, you do not have to type in text, the program will re-call the message you have set and print it automatically on the PO
To set the message file, do the following steps : STORES > PURCHASE ORDERS > EDIT MESSAGE FILE > EDIT MESSAGE FILE
Once you have the drop down box you can add your text in any of the free lines available,if there are no free lines left go to the top tool bar in the top left hand corner and click “Browse/Table “. This will give you another drop down now select “Append Record” ( Ctrl+N for original CAFAM and Ctrl+Y for new CAFAM-64 ) This will add a line ready for editing in the window. Give it a number and type your message you want to add. Once done hit the down button on your keyboard and your new message will be added to your list. Press the escape key to come out of this area.
