The Labour Charge-out rate is initially set as a default for your Company from UTILITIES > SETTINGS & PARAMETERS. Then each Customer is assigned their Labour Rate using these default settings as the basis. You can modify this rate to suit per Customer e.g. there may be some contractual arrangement that dictates a different rate to the default. Now when you come to open a Job Number, the rate that you previously set for the Customer will offered to be used. You can, however, further modify this rate at the Job Number level for some special reasons. These notes illustrate how you set the labour Charge-out rate at Job Number level
