From time to time we get asked, "How do I delete a Job Number from CAFAM ? ". The simple answer is you cannot. Once a Job has been opened, all you can do is [CANCEL] the Job. However this process marks the Job as "Cancelled". It does not actually remove it from the file. Why ? Because removing it from the file would leave a "hole" in your Job Numbering. However if you are absolutely determined to delete the Job Number, then these Notes set how to do it from the REPAIR FILE option.
NOTE:
1. If you have done this and it so happened to be the last Job Number in the sequence, remember to reset the "Last Job Number" back to the previous one from UTILITIES > SETTING & PARAMETERS
2. As the File is opened with no restrictions or checks, you can equally Edit data within the file. However there are no checks to ensure data integrity if you choose to do this
